Validate Rapidshare Links Automatically Inside Firefox

How many times this has happen to you. You go surf the web, found something really nice to download but the user share it using Rapidshare.

Ok, no problem. You just right away click the link and now you just noticed the file doesn’t exist anymore. Very annoying situation indeed.

And now you just learned whenever you want to download a large chunk of Rapidshare files, always validate the link first.Right now the most well known tool for that purpose is Rapishare Checker by Rapidshare itself.

And the problem with that tool is, it is time consuming to copy paste and not productive. Not to mention some website will replace http with hxxp to avoid hot linking.

Luckily there is this developer (probably hardcore Rapidshare user) has write this cool Firefox Addon Unofficial RapidShare Tool 0.2.1 to make our life easier :)

What this addon do is basically it will scan trough current viewing page a look for Rapidshare link and it will check whether the file is available or otherwise.

Here is the developer description from Firefox Addons page

Automatically or manually check links found on page (multiple pages with frames and textareas, invalid h**p, hxxp, hyyp and redirected links). Highlight links with custom color and copy or save as text, html or xml file. Integrated advanced and simple RapidShare account detection.
Works best with FlashGet clipboard monitor.

Another thing to mention is you have to login first before you can download this addon because this addon still rated as experimental :)
